Midwife Visit @ 16 Weeks

With the visit today, my weight is up to 126--gaining about a pound a week. That could be a bit more than what they want over the entire pregnancy, but not a concern at this point.

I received the results of my 12-week blood work and testing. No concerns raised!!
Specifically:
Vitamin D - My levels tested at 49 with 50 being considered the minimum normal. (The previous test had a result of 13.9 with 30 being the minimum normal.) Apparently the Vitamin D supplements have been working!
Platelets - My levels came back as 169,000--well within normal. If I remember right, 150,000 is considered the minimum normal. When I was pregnant with Al, my platelets came back just below the minimum normal at the 12-wk mark, so having something still solidly normal at this point is encouraging.
Hemoglobin - 12.5--again, solidly normal.
Of course, there were a number of other tests, but those were the ones that have been concerns with previous pregnancies, so was what I was most interested in checking.

TGM and Al went with me to the appointment, so they got to hear Beta's heartbeat with me today! It was beating away at 145-150. The midwife found the heartbeat promptly, but then Beta moved down farther in the pelvis and she had to search for a bit to find it again. As she was searching, she speculated that I might have an anterior placenta. Guess we'll find that out next month at the 20-wk ultrasound! We are getting excited about that!

I'm definitely showing (at least when I'm not layered up in winter wear). Over the last week or so, I think I've started to feel some movement. What I've felt so far feels mostly like Beta stretching, so it's hard to differentiate from gas.

Oh! Just as I was typing this, I think I felt a couple little kicks. :-D
