I guess the biggest change for this visit is that after a very uncomfortable day yesterday, the urine sample today confirmed that I have a bladder infection. I picked up the round of penicillin from the pharmacy over lunch, so hopefully that will help clear up some of the symptoms in the next few days and I'll be feeling better for travel to the family reunion. They are sending the urine sample to a lab for additional work, so depending on how that comes back on Friday or Monday, they may change the prescription.
Otherwise, everything seems to be progressing right as expected. I gained another three pounds--up to 141. Fundal measurement is at 33. Beta's heartbeat was in the 150's this morning. The midwife did some poking and decided that Beta is probably in the head-down position, as would be hoped for.
I still haven't had any serious problems with swelling. Only some minor swelling occasionally in my ankles at the end of the day, especially if I'm out of my normal routine. The nurse commented that I was the first one she'd seen all day (9:15 am) that wasn't experiencing swelling. Not sure how much of a statement that is at that time of day. A few people around work, clogging, etc have commented that I'm still wearing my rings--something they thought most people couldn't do by this point in pregnancy.
I finally got the pre-admission form on the Birthing Inn website filled out yesterday. I think the instructor in our birthing class also recommended making an appointment with the Birthing Inn to go over the birth certificate and other hospital forms that need to be filled out at admission and birth, so that some of those can be done ahead of time. The midwife gave me a copy of the birthing plan form they have, so we should work on filling that out. The birthing plan form also asks about the baby's pediatrician, which I still need to pick. That requires that I find out from Jesse about coverage under his plan, since my benefits will be dropped once I go part-time.
Still much to do to get ready for the arrival of Beta!!

I hear staying hydrated is the best remedy for swelling, so you must be doing well! :-) I got away with wearing my rings all the way through both pregnancies, and only had a little swelling of my feet near the end with Sierra, but I definitely felt like I was constantly guzzling water!
