She has been doing very well, for the most part. I still have to bug her about eating enough and making sure she keeps up on her vitamins, but, overall, I've had a pretty easy pregnancy so far!
I haven't been thrown on any guilt trips by a wife who is miserably throwing up all the time. Tiredness seemed to be the biggest effect seen so far, and while that took a while to adjust to, it seems to be fading as she moves toward the end of her first trimester. She's been up until 11:30 or midnight the last couple nights. Two weeks ago that would have been completely impossible! Let's see, what's next?
Hmmm, here's something about starting the second trimester:
Your uterus is not yet big enough to cause some of the uncomfortable symptoms that may happen in the third trimester. On the other hand, it may be depressing that you feel huge and your clothes don’t fit, but no one seems to know that you are pregnant.
Funny, that's just what she said this morning! I can maybe tell that there's a slightly larger swell to the lower abdominal area if I rub it carefully, but for the life of me, I can't see anything.
Honey, there's no way on earth that anyone else can see anything. You look just as svelte as ever, even if you think you feel bloated.
What to look forward to in the near future - some fluttering feelings! Unfortunately they'll probably be too faint for me to feel them, but even so, I can't wait!
