Clothes and Showing

At the 2-day clogging workshop over the weekend, I decided the jeans I had were no longer comfortable for clogging--too snug in the waist for easy breathing. At the workshop were a number of vendors and I found one selling gray sweat pants. I had to get the large size in order for them to be long enough, but the drawstring works well for snugging them up enough at the waist.

I have had various people ask me how long I'll be able to clog. When I went in for my first appointment, I mentioned to the midwife that I was clogging twice a week. She said that sounded like great exercise and that they encourage patients to keep up any exercise that they've been doing (that isn't dangerous for the pregnancy). She didn't say that I would have to give it up at any particular point. Another woman in our clogging group was clogging at Thanksgiving time before her daughter was born in January, so I expect I'll be able to stick with it for at least a few more months.

On Sunday, for the drive back, I was wearing a pair of slacks and a shirt that were more fitted than the t-shirts and sweatpants I had been wearing. Others in the group made a couple of comments that I was starting to show.

I've been noticing with some of my skirts with elastic waistbands that they have a tendency to not stay at my waist, but ride up higher, especially when I'm sitting down. I find it a bit annoying, but I guess I'll probably have to deal with worse than that in coming months.

Over the last few days, I've been continuing to try to short out what might be Beta movement that I'm feeling and what is just normal digestive operations. I haven't gotten it figured out yet most of the time, but there was once or twice I was almost convinced I was feeling Beta. I know I'll get better at that in the future!
