Well, I got a call from the midwives' office this morning saying that my platelet count has fallen to 115,000. That's low enough that they want a record of having consulted a hematologist, so gave me a couple of names to call and ask for an appointment before next week's midwife appointment. I made an appointment for Tuesday morning with the oncologist and have my next midwife appointment Tuesday afternoon. The midwives' office probably would've preferred a little earlier, so they might have a chance to get the records from my hematology appointment before seeing me again, but there wasn't anything else available at this point.
I'm disappointed that I have to go through the extra appointment and am hoping they don't end up recommending anything that changes the birth plan. From what I'm reading online, I don't think they will, but we'll have to see.
