Midwife's Report @ 25 weeks

Hmm....what does this say about my attitude or my schedule? I went in for a midwife's appointment last Thursday. Here it is 5 days later and I'm just getting around to posting about it.

The appointment went smoothly. Everything seems to still be normal.

I've noticed some mild swelling in my ankles in the last week to two weeks. I quit wearing knee highs and have gone to wearing sandals without any stockings or socks with more casual shoes. That seems to have helped some, though I've still noticed a little swelling. The midwife reassured me that with the warmer summer months and more weight gain it will get much worse before it gets better.

At the appointment, they weighed me at 133--a gain of 4 pounds over the last 4 weeks. That puts my total weight gain somewhere around 20 pounds. Right on track to gain around 35 pounds total--which is what they were recommending, since I started out at such a "low" weight.

Fundal height is right on track as well--25 cm. Beta's heartbeat is still normal and healthy sounding--registered around 145.

They scheduled my glucose tolerance test (for gestational diabetes) for two weeks out (next Wednesday). I opted to go ahead with a regular appointment at that time as well. That would put my next regular appointment for 3 weeks after that (last week of May) and then they'll try to go to every other week (except I'll be out of state for the first two weeks of June).
