More Movement and Siblings

Jesse got to feel Beta move over the weekend! We were both very excited. I'll let him tell the details.

Jer has taken to reminding us that he "hates babies" because of all the attention they get. But he has admitted to liking individual babies. Becoming a big sibling can be a very tough adjustment, especially in a situation where one already might not be feeling entirely secure. I guess we'll have to keep reassuring him that he is loved. Other ideas or suggestions?

In the car on the way to lunch on Sunday (Jesse was helping pull the church trailer, so we were meeting him), Jer concocted a hypothetical situation asking whether I would help a baby or him first, if both were hurt. I initially kept saying that I couldn't answer that because I'd want to help them both and it would depend on circumstances. Then he accused me of having no imagination and not being able to pretend, so I went pretend and helped them both at the same time, but Jer got the more heroic help. After all, by this point in his concocted scenario, the baby had only fallen in a pool of water, but Jer had fallen in a pool of water, gone down a waterfall, hit his head on a rock, and been swallowed by a shark!
